One step closer

We're really excited about this!! Here's a little preview of the van. We're one step closer to getting the business started now!

New wardrobe

Malaya got some really cute new clothes for her birthday. This first picture is a night gown that I got for her at Kohls and it came with a matching gown for her baby doll. Isn’t that adorable!? The next one is a homemade dress from Aunt Megan. It’s so cute! I love all the ruffles!! She looked so cute in it but of course, didn’t want her picture taken. So I’ll have to try again when she actually wears the dress. I was just trying it on her when I took these pictures. The white shirt has a little flower at the bottom that Megan added to the shirt. I love that one too! The bow in the picture with the 2 hats is homemade also by Megan! Isn’t she so talented?

Camera shy

On Friday morning, I got Malaya dressed in a cute little outfit and put her hair up just like she wanted. I thought I should take a picture of her right away because I knew the hair wouldn’t last long. So I got my camera and she refused to look at me. If I stood in front of her, she turned her head away. Then she would turn all the way around away from me. She looked back at me every minute or so. I kept asking her to smile, but she wouldn’t until she figured out she could run away from me. Then she started having fun. I stopped trying to take her picture then so the best picture I have of her is blurry and her eyes are closed. But at least she’s smiling!! I had to change her outfit before her birthday party because she woke up from her nap soaking wet. Too bad because she looked so cute!

A rainbow party!!

We celebrated Malaya’s birthday yesterday and we had a rainbow party! It was so fun! The kids played with balloons until dinner time. We had Malaya’s favorite, which is pizza and breadsticks. Derek made the pizza and I also made some rainbow jello and we had sprite with rainbow colored ice cubes. The kids thought they were so cool because they changed the color of their soda.

After dinner, we opened presents. We gave Grandpa Pete Happy Feet 2 and Malaya got a bunch of clothes, 2 hats, a bow for her hair, 2 baby dolls, and a cozy coupe. I thought the cozy coupe would be her favorite toy, but she didn’t care about anything else but those 2 baby dolls!

Then we had rainbow cake. I loved the cake! It turned out really cute! She tried to blow out her candle, but Derek had to help her. She didn’t eat much cake, but everybody else loved it!

I didn’t get any really good pictures of Malaya. She would not smile for me. Here’s some for now and I’ll post more tomorrow.

Haircuts

The boys finally got their hair cut last week. They look so handsome!

Jesse funny

Jesse started playing on starfall.com and at the end of every “book” they say the end or the words the end are written on the screen. So I always say the end and then we clap our hands. Well, Jesse started saying the end with me, but then I realized he wasn’t saying the end, he was saying Amen.

Windy

Malaya did not like the wind.






But she liked the dog across the street barking at her!

A few days ago I came downstairs in the morning with Tyler to make his bottle. Derek was eating breakfast on the couch so I put Tyler down on the floor and went into the kitchen. Derek came in a minute or two later and gave me my slippers and said “You might wanna wear these.” I asked why but he just walked away and went to bed. When he woke up that afternoon, he said he needed to go to wal-mart but he didn’t want to tell me what he was getting. He finally told me that he had to get mouse traps. EWWWWWWW!!!!! Apparently, when he opened the fridge that morning, a mouse ran out from under it. We haven’t seen any since and I hope I never do because I will flip out!!!!!

I just realized that I never posted about Bryan’s platelet count. He had an appointment at the end of February and his platelet count was up to 76,000. His doctor was hoping that it would be higher, like over 100,000 so he’ll have to go back next month for another CBC. If it is over 100,000, then that will be his last appointment.

New furniture

We got a new dining room table and bunk beds for the boys last week. Derek set the bunk beds up, but Jesse was scared of the bed on top of him all night so he ended up sleeping in my room and I asked Derek to take them apart the next day. So for now we're just using them as 2 twin size beds.




We set Jesse's old bed up in Malaya's room so she's sleeping in a big girl bed now. I can't believe how well she's done in the new bed! She doesn't get out of bed or cry at all!!




I love our new dining room table!! It's like the one at Mom's house in Washington. It's tall and it's square. And it has 8 chairs which will be really nice for when people come over.

6 months old

Tyler had his 6 month check up today and he's 22 lbs 11 oz now! He's over the 100th percentile for his weight and he's about 75th percentile for his height. I took maternity pictures for my friend last weekend but before she came over, I took a few pictures of him to make sure the room was light enough.
