1 month!

Tyler is 1 month old! He’s starting to look less like a newborn and more like a cute little baby now! I didn’t take any pictures of him for over a week, but I did take a few the last 2 days. I feel so bad that I don’t take enough pictures, but I don’t like leaving my camera out so I never have it around when he’s being super cute!

Doctor appointment

Tyler and Jesse had a doctor’s appointment today. Jesse has a weird rash on his arm so I called the doctor last week to see if he could go at the same time with Tyler today. The doctor said it’s just a reaction to something, but we don’t know what so he gave him some cream to put on it and hopefully it will clear up. He also went ahead and did his 3 year check up since we were there. I can’t remember what percentile he’s in but he’s 32 pounds. I can’t believe he’s gonna be 3 years old in 1 month!

Tyler is 10 pounds now and he’s 21 inches. He’s 80th percentile for his weight and 75th percentile for his height. I can’t believe he’s already 3 weeks old! He’s gonna grow up way too fast. He’s getting so good at holding his head up and looking at me and last night he slept in his own bed for the first time! That was the best night of sleep I’ve had in 3 weeks!

Right before Bryan got home from school today Jesse and Malaya managed to get into the baby doll pack n play. I told them they couldn’t do that because they’re too big and they’ll break it but of course I had to take a picture first.


Since I had my camera out, I had to take some pictures of Tyler too.




And then Bryan came home and I got one of him. He doesn’t always let me take his pictures, but he smiled nicely for me the first time I asked!

Tyler's quilt

Tyler got his baby quilt in the mail yesterday from Grandma Gibson. She showed me the fabric she was using when we were in Sequim so I was really excited to see it all put together! I love it and it will match his green crib bedding set! Thanks Grandma!

We had our first thunderstorm a few days ago and the kids thought it was cool to watch the pouring rain from the window after dinner.



Then we got ready for bed and the kids played and Tyler woke up so Jesse got to hold him.



Malaya was so cute tonight, chillin on the blanket and pretending to talk on the phone.


Then she started running around with her stroller


And then she played peek a boo with me with a tissue




I started taking pictures of Tyler and Bryan wanted to give him kisses.


He’s such a sweet big brother!

So cute!

On Sunday afternoon, I asked Derek to hold Tyler for me while I did something and when I came back to get him, they were both asleep on the couch. It was so cute!

Air Races

Every year in Reno they have hot air balloon races at the big park right down the street from our house. we've never watched them but since we're so close this year, we were able to see it all from home. Bryan woke us up the other morning because he was so excited about all the balloons! We all went outside to see them and then one crashed on our street. It was pretty cool to see it so close. The races go for 3 days and on Saturday morning, Derek took the kids and one of Bryan's friends and walked down to the park. This is what we saw from our house

Labor Day Weekend

We got home from the hospital on Thursday September 1st and it was a pretty good day. I was so happy to be home and the kids were happy that mommy and daddy were finally home too. Malaya was a little more fussy than usual. She’s been teething for a while now and she was a little upset that I wasn’t holding her like I usually did. But they were all excited to hold Tyler and give him hugs and kisses!

On Friday evening, Derek’s mom and stepdad got here from Vegas. They stayed for the long weekend and left on Tuesday morning. It was nice to have them here to help. They went out and did something fun every day so that Tyler and I could stay home and I was able to get some rest which was really nice! Malaya was really fussy the whole time they were here, but she’s doing better now! I think there was just too much going on and she was stressed out about everything.

On Saturday they went to Virginia City and brought home the best caramel apples ever!!!




Sunday, they went to the park and then ate lunch at McDonald’s and on Monday they went to little Washington in California.







The kids had so much fun spending the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa and of course they loved being spoiled! I can’t believe how much stuff they brought for the kids and then they took the kids shopping one night and they each got to pick out a new toy.

Malaya got a really cute new baby doll that cries and talks and goes to sleep when you feed it or give it a binky. And she also got a stroller, car seat, and pack n play for the baby doll. She loves it all and she sleeps with her new baby every night now. Bryan and Jesse got some bakugan toys and 2 new wii games.


They brought this play mat toy for Tyler and the other kids have had fun playing in it so far! And you see all those bags behind them? Those are all full of clothes for the kids and that's not even all of them!
